Hey, what’s up, everyone! How are you all doing this weekend? I hope everyone is doing great! On Saturday I went on a little road trip with my parents, my aunt and her boyfriend. Relatives of my aunt’s boyfriend live in a city called Lille, which is just over the border between Belgium and France. I’ve never been to Lille and neither have my parents. My aunt asked us a while back if we want to tag along, so we did!
Lille is a very nice city and quite big too. I always thought it was just like a little village kind of place, but it wasn’t. It kinda reminds me of Amsterdam in a way. Same kind of architecture and stuff. Lots of shops and all that.
We also had great weather, which was a plus. The people we visit brought us to the city centre of Lille for a couple of hours. They don’t speak Dutch nor English, so it was kinda blah for me and my mom. They only speak French. I had French at school and I was pretty good at it, but that was such a long time ago it all has faded away. I do understand the language, only when someone speaks slowly. I know the basic stuff, but that’s all.
Here are some random sightseeing pictures and selfies of my trip to Lille! Enjoy! :)
